Can you believe that this family image is from a session the week of Christmas? Winter is generally mild in Tennessee and is still an acceptable time to create beautiful family portraits in sweaters, scarves and jackets or cardigans. I have a few locations at which I shoot that still look great even in the winter. Call me to inquire more about a session for your family and we can chat about dates and locations!

Jeb is headed off to college next week. When his mom called to schedule a session for him, so she could have some images of him before he packs up and leaves home to move to campus, I felt it tug a little at my heart strings, I'm not gonna lie! I have a son starting college this month also, although he is staying local and will be at home while starting college (which thrills me, to be honest.) So photographing Jeb for these portraits for his mom had me being a photographer and a mom, if you will . . . I was thinking as both! Best wishes to you, Jeb, as you venture off to start this new chapter in your life and kuddos to your mom and dad for raising such a fine young man.
My baby, Kate, turned one on June 1st. And for her one-year portraits, I did a "day in her life" photo shoot. I LOVE these "photo shoots" of my kids and that they will have these moments, these memories, documented. I used a remote to be able to jump in the frame with her on some of these, too; I wanted her to have a few of Mommy with her since that is what our days look like . . . Mommy, Kate and big sister Anneliese (while Daddy works and the big sisters and brothers do big kid things, friend things, summer camp things, school things.)
Happy birthday to this fun-loving 3-year-old! She spent the morning of her 3rd birthday picking blueberries! Mom, Dad and brother came along for the fun and I could overhear them in the background chatting about the baked yummies they were going to make with their berries. So fun! Lochlan enjoyed picking (and eating) her berries and I hear that their homemade blueberry muffins turned out pretty tasty!
