Meet the Harper family, friends of ours and fall clients of mine. :) We shot their session at the Knoxville Botanical Garden this past weekend after being rained out the weekend before, and it was a great day for shooting and playing. Luke is just so cute and "all boy" and it was fun playing with him and incorporating some fun, candid moments into our session. Enjoy these favorites of mine!
This last set is a funny one! Often, when I'm shooting portraits of toddlers and preschoolers that are "on the go", I just "play" with them to distract them from the actual shooting process (and I shoot in the midst of all that) and so Luke and I were just collecting rocks. To keep him still and standing for a moment, I asked him to put his rocks in his pocket, which started out as a search for a pocket and ended up in his pants. So rocks in your pants . . . hey, if it keeps you happy while we are shooting and promises to be a fun adventure, go for it! I just keep shooting though! ;) This moment cracked us (his parents and me) up at the session, but it was fun for them to relive it when they came in for their preview session, too. :)
