FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q:  How do I book a session?  You can contact me using the "contact me" link here on my website.  There you will find my phone number at which you can reach between 9am-7pm, Monday through Saturday.  I'd love to hear from you!  If you prefer to email me instead, you can submit an inquiry directly from the contact form and I will be back in touch with you.  

Q.  How long will my session last?  Great question!  (And I know the dads are usually asking this also, but what they mean is how not-long is this going to last, haha.)  Your session time depends on what type of photography we are doing.
- Portrait Sessions with children, families, babies or teens are up to 1 hour of time at the location of your choice. 
- Newborn Sessions are 90 minutes to 2 hours (and take place in your home) as newborn images are always lifestyle sessions and have some time allowed for tending to your newborn if need be.  
- Documentary Sessions are 2-4 hours depending upon the type of session you schedule.
- Event Photography begins at 90 minutes of coverage and can be customized for more time if needed.

Q:  What if my child is sick . . . can I reschedule?  I'm a mom, too and I know that life, especially with children, is unpredictable and things happen.  I do allow clients to reschedule one time per session fee, so just contact me as soon as you know you will need to do so.  

Q.  What if it rains the day of my session?  For portrait sessions at a park, downtown or outdoor location, we will reschedule for another day.  For newborn sessions or other in-home sessions, no reschedule is needed and we will shoot as planned.  
Please note:  sessions are only rescheduled when it is raining at the time of the session.  Cloud coverage and overcast skies are still great conditions for a session.

Q.  What is included in the creative fee for my session? Does my session include any prints or digital files?  The Creative Fee for your custom session covers the time and talent of the photographer, all consultations prior to your shoot to help you plan (via phone, email or in-office), the processing and editing of your images, and your Gallery Reveal & Order appointment in the office after your session.  All prints, art, and digital files are available for purchase at the Gallery Reveal & Order appointment and will be ordered and paid for at that time, separately from the session fee.  

Q.  I loved my session and I am so excited to see my images!  How long do I have to wait to see them?  Now that your session was a success and we have spent time creating your images, you need only wait about one week to see them!  I offer morning and early afternoon appointments, as well as limited evening appointments, for clients to come in to view and place orders.  We will schedule your Gallery Reveal & Order appointment for 5-7 days after your session and will confirm this appointment when we confirm your session.

Q. Where are you located?
My office is in West Knoxville (Farragut area) near the intersection of Pellissippi Parkway and Kingston Pike.  I photograph clients in locations throughout Knoxville, Maryville, Alcoa and all surrounding areas.  Sessions further than 20 miles from my office may have a small travel fee.
